UCSC grad student receives award

UCSC graduate student H. Christian Blood has been awarded this year's Rehak Award from the Lambda Classical Caucus of the American Philological Association, for his essay "The Trouble with Icons: Recent Ideological Appropriations of Plato's Symposium." The Rehak Award is presented annually to the author of "a publication relating to the LCC's mission, including, but not limited to, homosocial and homoerotic relationships and environments, ancient sexuality and gender roles, and representation of the gendered body.".
