Visit a Classical Studies Course

As a courtesy, please identify yourself to the course instructor(s) before class begins so that they know you are present. We also ask that you stay for the entire class period so as not to disturb the lecture by leaving early. Visitors are invited to attend the following classes:

Pre-and Early Modern Literature 123, The Comedy of Sex on Stage and Screen

Course Description: Surveys the theory and practice of comedy in several contexts and media including stage, film, and television, with special attention to questions of gender and sexuality. Texts include Aristophanes, Plautus, Shakespeare, Moliere, Orton, Chaplin, Seinfeld, Freud, Bakhtin.
